Intelius, Serving Both Consumers and Employees Alike

Intelius is a public records company that offers a wide array of information-powered services and products that include identity theft protection, background checks and employment screening services. Intelius’ method of collecting data is perfectly legal — it only gathers information from public databases. It then interprets this information, compiles it, and presents this to its more than 6 million clients, who utilize the data to empower them to make critical decisions and to reconnect and safeguard their loved ones, businesses and assets.

Surveys show that nowadays more people are depending on online means to find dates and hire and/or do background checks on contractors and nannies. The founders of Intellius saw this before they formed the company and decided to tap into a previously untouched wellspring of opportunity. This foresight proved fortuitous — with its market base recognizing the indispensability of its innovative services, Intellius’ customer base now number well over 6 million. Indeed, records show 40% of the customers use the service more than once. Intelius is also considered to be one of the top 100 most trafficked sites on the web according to comScore/Media Metrix. Puget Sound Business Journal also listed it amongst what it regards to be the top 15 Corporate Philanthropists.

On August 8, 2008, Washington CEO announced Intellius as a winner of the 18th annual 100 Best Companies to Work for in Washington State Award. This in itself is a small surprise, given that Naveen Jain, founder and CEO of Intelius has instilled his philanthropic drive in the company. Under his leadership, Intelius has also “[continually strived] to create an environment for [the] employees where they have the opportunity to grow professionally while also enjoying what they do every day,” says the IT entrepreneur.

The company has aggressively extended the breadth of its consumer and enterprise services since its inception. It now covers over 175 countries.
